Saturday 9 May 2026 saw 88 women gather at St Pancras Church for the second Women's Voices conference in London. Women's Voices was started over ten years ago by Rev’d Dr Liz Shercliff for women in, or considering, Christian ministry of any sort, to meet and reflect on biblical hermeneutics, feminist and womanist theological perspectives and homiletics.
This year's event commenced with a video introduction by Bishop Emma Ineson (acting bishop of London) which was followed by:
Dr Selina Stone speaking on 'Power, Theology and Abuse in the Church: A Womanist Reimagining'
Dr Karen O’Donnell speaking on 'Trauma Theology is a Feminist Issue'
Rev’d Dr Liz Shercliff speaking on 'Patriarchy, Preaching and the Gospel'
Rev’d Lucy Winkett speaking on ‘I don’t try to sound like anyone but me anymore’ (Norah Jones)
Rev’d Mitzi James speaking on 'Being Seen in the Wilderness'
We are pleased to be able to share two of these talks with you and thank both Karen and Liz for this.
