New Director of Music Appointed

We are thrilled to announce that Douglas Tang has been appointed Director of Music at St Pancras Church.

Biography
Douglas is a London-based conductor and keyboardist, having spent 15 years as a cathedral organist at King’s Cambridge, Hereford Cathedral, St Mary’s Sydney, Old Royal Naval College, Croydon Minster, and many more. He has also been an organ consultant to many of London’s major churches, such as St Bart’s, St Giles’ – and has a history with St Pancras since 2006, when he first moved to the UK and lived at the nearby Goodenough College, coming here to practise the piano, and later on, the organ. His specialisms are within English and early music, with his career taking him to opera, and working also as an orchestral player for the Philharmonia, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Mozart Players, Academy of Ancient Music, Orchestra for the Age of Enlightenment, Britten Sinfonia, Aurora and others, and also coaching and teaching at the Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, Guildhall, and Trinity Laban.
In his free time, Douglas enjoys exploring technology and food, and is always happy to get into any conversation regarding any of his interests. He’s looking forward to growing the music at St Pancras again after the pandemic, and if you have any thoughts or ideas, feel free to say hi to him!

5 October 2025 is also the day when St Pancras Church is first welcoming its Inaugural Choral Scholars.
