Formed in October 2024 at the Royal College of Music, the London-based Nasia Quartet takes its name from the Greek word meaning “immortal”, reflecting the timeless and continually renewing nature of the string quartet tradition. The ensemble is dedicated to balancing the great cornerstones of the repertoire with the championing of lesser-known works. Since its formation, the quartet has performed across the UK and Europe, including appearances at the Virtuoso & Bel Canto Festival in Lucca, Italy, where they performed Beethoven’s String Quartet in C minor, Op. 18 No. 4 and Schulhoff’s Five Pieces. Recent highlights include performances of Mozart’s Dissonance Quartet alongside the Marmen Quartet, with whom they receive regular guidance. The quartet has also worked with mentors including Heime Müller, Adrian Brendel, Jan Bjøranger, Bruno Giuranna and Simone Gramaglia, and has performed at the RCM Chamber Music Festival and the St Mary Abbots Church Lunchtime Concert Series.

Presented in association with the Royal College of Music.
