Biography:Kwanita Lau:As a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, Violinist Kwanita Lau studied Professional Diploma, Master of Arts in Performance as well as Licentiate Diploma in Teaching (LRAM) with scholarships under the tutelage of Prof. HU Kun and Prof. Jonathan Stone. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama where she studied with Prof. Arisa Fujita. She also studied improvisation with Prof. David Dolan.As a soloist and chamber musician, Kwanita performs regularly in the UK, Europe and Hong Kong. She is a winner of many awards and international competitions. She received the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme presented by the HKSAR and is honoured with the title of “Hong Kong Scholar”. She also granted the tuition fee scholarship from the Guildhall School and the Henry Wood Accommodation Trust. She was awarded the Royal Philharmonic Society Instrument Purchase Grants 2016 supported by the Sir John Barbirolli Memorial Foundation.Kwanita was invited to serve as a jury member and taught masterclasses at the 2024 and 2023 Hong Kong International String Competition.
Lance Mok:Lance Mok is a Hong Kong-born classical pianist and composer based in London. His versatile concert career has brought him around the world, from the UK and Hong Kong to the Netherlands, Finland, Poland, Korea, Taiwan, Macau, and the US, and his performances on Radio Television Hong Kong, Television Broadcast Ltd. (Hong Kong), Bloomsbury Radio (UK), and in films. He plays a wide repertoire and is particularly keen to promote under-presented works. Together with long-time collaborator Karen Wong, he co-founded Ensemble Fioritura.His compositions have recently been performed at such venues and occasions as St John's Smith Square (London), O. Festival (Rotterdam), French May Arts Festival (Hong Kong), and on Radio Television Hong Kong.To give back to society, Lance has become an examiner of the ABRSM since 2023. He also regularly performs for various charities and as a Live Music Now musician to bring his performances into the community.Lance obtained his master’s in Piano Performance from the Royal College of Music in 2018.
