Biography:
Karin Miura is a concert pianist and a chamber musician based in the UK and Japan.
She is a first prize winner of the Verao Classico Academy Awards and Rosenstock International Piano Competition.
Karin obtained her Artist Diploma with Distinction at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama studying with Charles Owen and Katya Apekisheva. Her studies were supported by the Guildhall School Trust, the Help Musicians’ Postgraduate Award and Talent Unlimited. Prior to this, Karin studied at the Royal College of Music under Gordon Fergus-Thompson and is also a graduate of the Tokyo College of Music in Japan.
She has performed at prestigious venues all around the world such as St James’ Piccadilly, Milton Court, Kings Place London, Grocer’s Hall, Draper’s Hall, Picadeiro Real de Belém, and Tokyo Metropolitan Festival Hall.
She has participated in masterclasses with many renowned pianists such as John Lill, Jonathan Biss, Konstantin Lifschitz, and Boris Berman.
