Biography:

Spanish violinist Daniela Guillén García is an acclaimed performer and prizewinner with a notable presence in Europe’s music scene. Renowned for her exceptional artistry, she has participated in prestigious performances, events, music festivals, and masterclasses across Europe.

Born on September 15, 2000, in Madrid, Spain, Daniela began her musical journey at the age of 4 at the CEDAM Academy in Madrid. She completed her early education at the Joaquín Turina Professional Conservatory in Madrid and the Professional Conservatory of Music “Adolfo Salazar,” studying under the esteemed Professor Anna Baget. She has since participated in interpretation courses and masterclasses with renowned teachers such as Ilya Kaler, Olga Kaler, Agustín Leon Ara, Santiago de la Riva, Eva Graubin, Keiko Wataya, Frederieke Saeijs, Stephan Picard, Ana Maria Valderrama, Aitor Hevia, Cibrán Sierra, Alina Ibragimova, and Eszter Haffner.

Her exceptional talent has been recognized through accolades, including the Second Prize at the 2015 “Cardinal Cisneros” Interpretation Contests in Madrid and the “César Uceda” Award for young interpreters from Leioa (Bilbao, Spain) in 2017.

Daniela was admitted to the Royal College of Music in London for her Bachelor of Music (Honours), studying under Professor Maciej Rakowski. She continued her studies with Professor Radu Blidar for her Master’s degree and was awarded the Scholarship of the Albert Cooper Music Charitable Trust. Daniela graduated with distinction and continues to hone her skills in solo violin and orchestral experiences both within and outside RCM. She won the Royal Opera House mentorship scheme, gaining valuable insights into professional orchestral work through side-by-side sessions with Maestro Antonio Pappano, assisting in general rehearsals, and receiving one-to-one lessons from her mentor David Chadwick.

Since the inception of her studies, Daniela has actively participated in recitals and concerts, showcasing her skills at music festivals and various solidarity concerts. She has had the privilege of performing at prestigious venues in London, including the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Opera House, The Wallace Collection, The Dorchester, Raffles at the OWO, Chelsea Design Centre, and the Royal Festival Hall. In Madrid, she has performed at significant venues such as the Auditorio Nacional de Música, Teatro Real, Magalia Castle, Ateneo, La Quinta de Mahler, Olivar de Castillejo, and Centro Centro Cibeles.

Her performances across Europe include the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall; Paris, Opera Garnier; Conservatory of Corfu, Greece; Westerkerk in Amsterdam, Netherlands, among others.

She also performs with the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra, where she has had the privilege of collaborating with renowned artists such as Martha Argerich at the Barbican, Maxim Vengerov, and David Carpenter, among others.

Daniela is supported by Talent Unlimited, a charity dedicated to promoting young musicians by providing them with performance opportunities and career development support.

Most recently, Daniela became a Performing Artist for D’Addario Orchestral, marking an important milestone in her career.

Her mentors and professors include Dña. Anna Baget, Prof. Maciej Rakowski, Yulia Iglinova, David Chadwick, Joana Valentinaviciute, and Prof. Radu Blidar. She is committed to artistic outreach and development, sharing her passion and expertise in various musical settings.
