Biography:

Chenqige Zhang was born in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, China, in 1999. She started receiving piano lessons at the age of 6. In 2017, she began studying with pianist Yuan Sheng at the Beijing Central Conservatory of Music and Prof. Hong Fu at the Chinese Conservatory of Music in Beijing. In 2021, she moved to London to get her piano education. She studied with Prof. Peter Tuite and Prof. Martino Tirimo at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

She constantly gives concerts as a soloist and chamber musician across London, including venues such as Wigmore Hall, St George’s Buckenham, St George the Martyr church, St Michael’s St Alfage, Royal Naval College Chapel, St James’s Piccadilly and Waltham Abbey, etc. Recently she performed at Southwark Cathedral in March 2025, and St James Paddington Sussex in May 2025. She has also given several concerts in China of the Chinese traditional instrument ‘Guzheng’, the first instrument she learnt, which she learned at the age of four.
