Biographies:
Born in China, 2002, Billy started studying the piano at the age of 4. He came to the UK at the age of 11 and enrolled The Purcell School for young musicians for sixth-form with scholarship and studied the piano under Danielle Salamon. Billy has performed in various acclaimed venues such as St Martin In The Fields and the Purcell Room. Billy was a recipient of scholarships from multiple donors when he studied at the Guildhall. Among his teachers was Joan Havill. From September 2026, Billy will continue his studies at the Royal Academy of Music under Mei-Ting Sun. He is a keen performer who has recieved masterclasses from a variety of world renowned pianists including Boris Berman and Bernard d’Ascoli. He has parcipated in competitions such as the Windsor International Piano Competition and the Bromsgrove. He has recently participated in the Cambridge International Piano Festival and had the honour to perform to renowned concert pianists such as Stephen Kovacevich.
