Biographies:
Alfredo Conte began studying piano at the age of six and continued his pre-academic studies at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatoire in Venice. In 2021, he moved to Rome, where he was admitted to the Santa Cecilia Conservatoire in the class of M° Maura Pansini. Under her guidance, he completed his undergraduate degree with highest honours and distinction (summa cum laude).
He also graduated with full marks from the Department of Music at King’s College London, while simultaneously attending the Advanced Performance Studies course at the Royal Academy of Music.
He has recently been offered the opportunity to pursue a PhD in Piano Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, supported by a prestigious scholarship. He has had opportunity to attend masterclasses with famous pianists, such as Kostantin Bogino, Pierluigi Camicia, Vanessa Latarche, Letizia Michielon, Marcella Crudeli, and Leon McCawley.
Alfredo has been awarded in several international piano competitions, including Riccione, Albenga, Dinu Lipatti, and the Nuova Coppa Pianisti in Osimo (IT). Most recently, he was selected as a winner of the Keyboard Charitable Trust and will perform at the Steinway Hall in London next year as part of their concert series. Alfredo is generously supported by and is part of the Talent Unlimited Charity.
He has given numerous solo recitals in Italy, Romania, and the United Kingdom. On November 12 of this year, he will also perform as a soloist at the Théâtre des Musesin Monte Carlo (Monaco). At the most recent edition of the Bolzano Festival, in collaboration with the Mahler Academy, he participated in the world premiere performance of 11,000 Saiten by Georg Friedrich Haas. He recorded the first European performance of Calligraphy, an étude by contemporary composer Toshio Hosokawa, in collaboration with the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatoire in Trieste.
He has also taken part in a recording project with the Santa Cecilia Conservatoire for the Italian national radio station Isoradio. Recently, he performed in Spoleto at Casa Menotti (Documentation Center of the Festival dei Due Mondi).
He curated and organised the Young Music Italy project in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in London, where he performed a series of concerts dedicated to the art of the piano and Italian musical heritage.
A regular performer for the Rotary Club, of which he is an active member, Alfredo frequently gives concerts supporting humanitarian and charitable causes.
