Adrian Raphael Henke the german pianist with British/Nigerian roots started his musical journey at the tender age of five with his first piano lessons in Germany.
For a few years he attended a Choir besides his piano lessons. And at the age of twelve he already made his orchestral debut with Gershwins Rhapsody in Blue.
Since then he has performed on a regular basis across Europe in venues including Franziskaner Konzerthaus Germany, Amaryllis Flemming Concert hall, Palau de la musica Barcelona, St James’s Piccadilly London and Goethe institute Paris and Lyon among others.
He played solo recitals with Chopin programs including Etudes op. 25 as well as the first piano concerto in E-minor. In 2023 he also played Rachmaninoffs piano concerto 2 with the Dohnany Orchestra under the baton of Werner Gabor.
On an annual basis he presents his new repertoire at his home town in Germany. In 2023 he also participated in the Piano Festival de Collioure in France 2023.
He is a multiple 1st prize winner of the German music competition „Jugend Musiziert“. He was also a semifinalist of the 2024 piano campus international piano competition. Additionally he is also a prize winner of the 2023 edition of the international piano competition Soirées-Concours Internationales de Piano à Collioure.
In September 2023 he won the 2nd Prize at the 1st international Rachmaninoff piano competition London.
In May 2024 he was awarded the first prize at the Watford International piano competition. He attended masterclasses with Katarzyna Popowa, Milana Chernyavska, Gabor Farcas, Mikhail Voskresensky and Orszolya Szabo to name a view.
He has been invited to the Adam Gyorgy Castle Academy in 2022 and 2023 on a full scholarship supported by the Adam György foundation.
He has studied with Reinhard Becker at the Pre-College of the Musikhochschule in Trossingen (Germany) for four years and with Elza Kolodin at the „Programme for highly talented young musicians“ at the Musikhochschule in Freiburg (Germany) for another four years.
Since September 2021 he is studying at the Royal College of Music in London,in the class of Dmitri Alexeev as a Ruth Keattch scholar. He is kindly supported by Talent Unlimited since 2023. Adrian was the cover star of the spring events at the royal college of music.
Concert highlights of this season included performances at the Piano Series „Virtuosos at the Piano“ presented by Bluthner in France as well as his recital debut at the Watford music festival England.
