LONDON FESTIVAL OF CONTEMPORARY CHURCH MUSIC
8th to 16th May 2010
AIMS OF THE FESTIVAL
The Festival is now in its nineth year, fulfilling our principal aim of showcasing performances of recent and contemporary liturgical music and organ music at the very highest levels, both in the context of services and concerts. The Festival is a week-long event around St Pancrastide, running from 8th to 16th May.
Our subsidiary aims are as follows:
To encourage and enthuse people to experience such music in live performances, rather
than through recorded media,
To add to the living musical tradition through newly commissioned works,
To provide a platform for composers to present and, hopefully, to discuss their work
